BLOSSOM DUST

These pictures are painted with pastels. That is why they are called Blossom Dust: run your finger over, and it is smeared away like the butterfly wing. They were painted in 1995-1998. Although they are considered amateurish by many, I placed them here. I like them for their youthful sincerity. And what I also like about pastels is that you can make IRREAL colors. For example, you put one layer, say, blue, and cover it with lacquer. Then, you put a beige layer over the blue one, so that the blue is seen. You get an unusual effect of an irreal color – neither blue, nor beige. This color does not exist in the nature. Try it yourself!
